The Ask:

Renowned Tai Chi expert Shirley Chock (aka The Stressbender), owner of Aiping Tai Chi, came to Kloss Creatives for support in April 2023 with The Stressbender brand's recent massive growth. With over 200,000 followers across social media channels and several TikTok videos topping 1 million views, she needed a dedicated team to help craft and tell her story to the media. 

Our Solution:

Our comprehensive strategy for Aiping Tai Chi was shaped to tell her fascinating story in several different verticals, including the business, general lifestyle, and health categories. We honed in on positioning Shirley Chock not only as a health and wellness expert, but also as a savvy businessperson (fun fact: she used Tai Chi to succeed in her career, which included serving as the Director of Finance at Yale University!) and AAPI content creator. 

The Results:

Kloss Creatives secured media coverage for Shirley Chock in major outlets like The New York Times, Well+Good,, AARP, and Women's Running UK — plus niche outlets like Lotus Magazine (a bimonthly publication for self-identifying Asian-American Womxn to share their stories and connect with each other),, Good Morning Connecticut, and several business and health podcasts. 

We also secured Shirley a paid corporate speaking opportunity with Bank of America and helped her with the affiliate set-up and launch of a new product line that was promptly covered by Forbes and BuzzFeed. As a result of our efforts, Shirley's site traffic has increased by 231% since we started working together. Overall, our team drove more than 927 million in media reach for Shirley in just 10 months. 

Shirley's increased presence across a variety of verticals has been an impactful way to diversify brand awareness as she grows.
